Although they do not constitute the most important aspect of Rufino Tamayo’s artistic production, his engravings and illustrations represent an autonomous body of work in the artist’s expressive register. This refreshing volume constitutes a valuable document for scholars and admirers of the artist from Oaxaca, including his remarkable lithographs for special editions such as Air Mexicain by Benjamin Péret, Amanecer en el Delta del Paraná by Miguel Ángel Asturias, and the Apocalypse of St. John.
