First published in 1960, written and edited by Armando Jiménez Farías (better known as El Gallito Inglés, ‘The Little English Rooster’), Picardía mexicana soon became a bestseller in Mexico. One of the most emblematic literary works of Mexican popular culture, it is published here by RM in a facsimile edition.
Alfonso Reyes, poet and man of letters, wrote about the book: “All Mexicans have dreamed, at one time or another, of writing a book like this, and
