Libro is an essay on the current state of the photobook in Spain. The photobook is not the only way of presenting and sharing photographic work, but it has had a spectacular flowering in Spain in recent years.
This volume seeks to account for the growth in the publication of photobooks over the last ten years. It is a conversation between Horacio Fernández, an independent curator and author of numerous publications about photobooks; Jon Uriarte, a photographer and photography curator; Cristina de Middel, author of the acclaimed photobook The Afronauts; and Eloi Gimmel, the most innovative designer of photobooks in Spain, who also designed this book.
