Flucht, a word that speaks of escape, is a photographic essay that traverses the places that accompanied the German philosopher Walter Benjamin as he escaped fascism in the final days of his life.
Espe Pons traces the memory of a landscape, and the ideas of frontier, escape and freedom which form part of it. With texts by Mona Benjamin and Pilar Parcerisas and a poem by Vicenç Altaió.

South of the Pyrenees, where the mountains stick out like splinters to the sea, the landscape of memory is personified, the eye of the camera traces what is not seen, what goes unnoticed, the detail of a shadow, some grass, some painting (graffiti), objects found and forgotten along the way, where thousands of people fled the violence and barbarism of a Europe devastated by fascism and Nazism.
