EMBT Benedetta Tagliabue. Weaving Architecture offers a unique exploration of the work of architect Benedetta Tagliabue at EMBT, the internationally renowned studio she has led for the past 24 years following the death of its co-founder, Enric Miralles.
Founded in Barcelona in 1994 by Miralles (1955–2000) and Tagliabue (1963), EMBT has left a lasting mark on contemporary architecture through iconic projects in Europe and beyond. Under Tagliabue’s leadership, the studio expanded its global reach, consolidating its position as a key figure on the international architectural scene.
The book presents over 50 projects through a rich collection of visual materials—drawings, collages, plans, photographs, and graphic narratives—many of them previously unpublished. These materials reveal each project through successive layers, from initial ideas and early sketches to conceptual development, construction, and final realization. The projects are organized around key themes such as the body, the house, the city, topography, volume, and fabric, forming a continuous and intertwined narrative that reflects the essence of EMBT’s architecture.
