Eduardo & Miguel introduces us to the everyday lives of the Portnoy brothers, Twins in their 50s who have never been separated from each other. They live and work together, with no close friends or family: they only have each other. However, this unusual duplicity of their existence and the complementary nature of their lives portrays universal concepts like the construction of identity, the care for one’s own vulnerability and the confrontation of solitude. This photobook depicts them both as cover and backcover of each other, working as a mirror to make them flow into one another in the book’s middle pages.
Coló’s project was the winner of the first edition of the Star Photobook Dummy Award, an initiative promoted by the Photographic Foundation in collaboration with Spanish-based publishing houses Phree, Ediciones Posibles and RM.
