This book gather essays by Carlos Monsiváis, Rafael Barajas el Fisgón, and Francisco Vargas, who approach the work of Gabriel Vargas and Eduardo del Río (Rius) from the perspectives of urban popular culture and the origin and evolution of the Mexican comic strip.
