This book brings together in an unpublished way nearly three hundred works by artist Abel Quezada (1920-1991), consisting of oils, murals, watercolors, notes, comic strips, cardboards and texts, which account for the versatility and great talent of its author, who was one of the most influential social commentators of his time, a deeply lucid observer and a chronicler full of humor and critical sense.
The development of the book is presented as a codex that unfolds in its pages the history of Mexican society in the twentieth century, and includes the group of works that were part of the exhibition Codex AQ, which is complemented with additional pieces and texts. The exhibition was held at the Museum of Mexico City between December 2010 and June 2011, and was curated by researcher Alfonso Morales.
