This book brings together the most important research on Mail Art in Mexico and its connections with the world.
From the review of fifteen archives -public and private- of different artists and institutions, a map of the mail art movement during its boom decades is created; that is, 1960, 1970 and 1980. During those years, Mexican artists used postal services to communicate with their contemporaries all over the world.
The book contains unpublished works by Mathias Goeritz, Pedro Friedeberg, Felipe Ehrenberg, Clemente Padín, Diether Rot, Marcos Kurtycz, Polvo de Gallina Negra, and hundreds of artists from five continents. They all have in common that they have traveled to Mexico by mail.
