Editorial RM publishes El fotógrafo Juan Rulfo, a book that includes both photographs by the author and research and theoretical reflections on this aspect of Rulfo’s artistic creation. The work allows us to see for the first time Juan Rulfo’s activity as a photographer, understanding it autonomously and without subordinating it to his literature.
The book is made up of different essays written by specialists, who offer us relevant information on what photography represented for Rulfo, the echoes that inspired his work, as well as a chronology of the most important events in Juan Rulfo’s life in relation to photography.
The central part of the book brings together a large number of the images referred to in the essays, including some of those already established in the history of photography, as well as others that were scarcely known or remained unpublished.
