Based on the retrospective exhibition organized by the Andalusian Centre of Contemporary Art in Seville in March 2007, this interesting book provides a fresh look at the work of Japanese photographer Daido Moriyama.

A relentless visionary of the fragmented postmodern world, Moriyama is famous for his stark images of urban life and the transformations that make the everyday.

These black-and-white, high contrast photographs taken from unexpected angles illustrate various periods of his career. The cover design is by leading Japanese designer Tadanori Yokoo. The book also contains a brief introduction by José Lebrero Stals and an insightful essay by Minoru Shimizu.
