Tríptico para Juan Rulfo consists of as many sections as the subtitle indicates: poetry, photography and criticism. The first section comprises the version of Duino’s Elegies that Rulfo produced from Gonzalo Torrente Ballester’s translation and Juan José Domenchina’s version. The second is made up of articles devoted to Rulfo’s first photographic exhibition (Guadalajara, 1960), the insertion of his photography in the history of that discipline in both Latin America and Mexico, and the characterisation of his recurring motifs and visual treatments. The third section brings together testimonies about the writer and articles on his narrative texts; a set that proposes different re-readings, always from rigorous and documented analytical perspectives.
